The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State, Abayomi Oladipo, has decorated two newly promoted officers, urging them to uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline in their new roles.
The decoration ceremony, held on Thursday at the Zone 13 Headquarters in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area, saw the officers elevated to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

Speaking during the event, Oladipo described the promotions as well-deserved and merit-based, emphasizing that the new ranks come with greater responsibility. He urged the officers to see their elevation as a call to enhanced service and responsive policing.
According to him, the recognition reflects the command’s commitment to boosting morale and improving operational efficiency through reward for hard work, dedication, and excellence.
“Promotion comes with greater responsibility. We urge the officers to uphold the core values of the Force, maintain integrity, and sustain public trust in the discharge of their duties,” he said.

The newly promoted officers, DCP Nzota Chidiebere and DCP Blessing Akuchi, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Police Service Commission, and senior officers for finding them worthy of the elevation.
In his remarks, Chidiebere described the promotion as a significant milestone, noting that it would inspire renewed dedication to duty. He added that the recognition reinforces the principle that diligence and commitment to service are rewarded within the Force.
The event was attended by the Commissioners of Police for Anambra and Enugu states, senior officers, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the achievement.
Zone 13 Command, which oversees Anambra and Enugu states, noted that the promotion exercise is part of ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to strengthen capacity, motivate personnel, and enhance service delivery nationwide.
