The pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All, Jos (ECWA), and Chairman of its Board of Trustees (BoT), Rev. Sunday Bobai Agang, has regained freedom.

Truth Live News Media reports that he was abducted last Tuesday
from his residence in the Farin Gada area of Jos North LGA of Plateau State.

The ECWA, Acting Public Relations Officer, Danjuma Auta, in a press statement, said the cleric has reunited with his family.

“We wish to announce with immense gratitude and joy the release of our dear pastor, Rev. Prof. Sunday Bobai Agang, who was abducted by unknown gunmen.

“We are delighted to confirm that he has regained his freedom and is currently safe,” the statement reads.

ECWA thanked God Almighty for answering the fervent prayers of the entire ECWA family and the global Church of Christ.

The church described the release as a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of collective prayer.

While rejoicing at the safe return of Rev. Agang, ECWA noted that his ordeal has once again brought to the fore the persistent insecurity in the country.

“The rising wave of kidnapping, which has sadly become a means of livelihood for some, is a threat to our collective existence and must be addressed urgently,” the statement said.

The church called on the government at all levels to rise to its primary constitutional responsibility of protecting the lives and property of every Nigerian.
