The Edo State Governorship Election Tribunal, currently sitting in Abuja, has admitted critical evidence suggesting that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) certified and collated fake results in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 9, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.
Truth Live News confirmed that a key witness presented documents showing discrepancies between the results announced by INEC and those recorded in the INEC Result Viewing (IREV) portal, as well as copies of Form EC8A obtained by polling agents. This revelation has intensified scrutiny over the credibility of the September 21 governorship election results.
The tribunal has also heard testimonies from other witnesses regarding electoral irregularities in different parts of the state. In Ovia South-West LGA, a PDP collation agent alleged that INEC overlooked cases of overvoting, with votes cast exceeding the number of accredited voters in at least seven polling units.
