France Bans Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir from Its Territory

France has officially banned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from entering its territory, signaling growing international frustration over recent events involving activists headed for Gaza.

The announcement was made by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, who stated that the decision reflects increasing concern among global leaders. He also revealed that France, alongside Italy, is urging the European Union to consider broader sanctions against Ben-Gvir.

The controversy stems from a video shared by Ben-Gvir, in which he appeared to mock activists attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. The activists were intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters, and some later alleged mistreatment while in custody claims denied by Israeli authorities.

The incident has drawn criticism from several Western governments. Even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly distanced himself from Ben-Gvir’s actions, describing them as inconsistent with the country’s values.

The activists involved have since been deported, while diplomatic tensions continue to rise over the situation.
