Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will capture the remaining three South-South states currently governed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The three states still under PDP governance are Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Rivers State.
Governor Otu noted that the increasing number of South-South states under APC governance is a dream realized, following the party’s recent gain of Delta and Edo States.
Otu believes that when the other three states are finally captured, it will lead to deeper regional collaboration, accelerated economic development, and greater political stability.
As Vice Chairman of the South-South Governors’ Forum, Otu urged Governor Oborevwori and other APC newcomers to bring their experience and grassroots mobilization strength to advance the party’s quest for a flourishing South-South and a renewed Nigeria.
Together in APC, Otu assured that the six states will chart a new course of greatness for the region and the nation.
