The All Progressives Congress Youth and Students Council (KASASCO) has firmly rejected Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s potential return to the party.

KASASCO described Kwankwaso as politically irrelevant and a potential disruptor of the party’s growing unity and strength.

The APC has regained strength in Kano State under the current leadership, boasting two senators, multiple House of Representatives members, and solid representation in the state Assembly.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Kwankwaso’s current party, is experiencing a wave of defections, with several prominent figures joining the APC due to mistreatment and marginalization.

KASASCO commended the APC’s internal reconciliation efforts and expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the 2027 general elections.

The group predicted that Kano will deliver over two million votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC candidates.

Kwankwaso’s attempts to rejoin the APC were labeled a desperate bid for political refuge, with KASASCO declaring that the party is not a refuge organization.

The group praised APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Senator Barau Jibrin for their leadership and strategies, which absorbed 80 percent of the Kwankwasiyya movement into the APC.
