Earlier today, amidst the spirit of Easter, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, the esteemed Edo State Chairman of The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alongside his cherished wife, Annette, and siblings, congregated at the serene premises of St. John Vianni Catholic Church, Benin, partaking in the 8 am Mass.

Just weeks ago, on the somber Friday of March 15, 2024, Dr. Aziegbemi endured a harrowing ordeal, being forcibly taken by unidentified assailants while en route to his residence in Benin. Ten agonizing days passed before he was mercifully released unharmed from the clutches of his captors.
Throughout this trying time, an outpouring of prayers and well-wishes resonated from both near and far, underscoring the widespread reverence and esteem held for the PDP party chairman.
Following the uplifting service, the Aziegbemis embarked on a heartfelt mission to spread joy and goodwill, visiting the Edo Orphanage Home and the Amadin Orphanage, both nestled within the confines of Benin city. Here, amidst the innocent laughter and hopeful smiles of the children, Easter was celebrated not merely as a religious holiday but as a testament to the enduring spirit of compassion and altruism.
