Nigerian actress Doris Ogala has alleged that Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberty and Miracle Ministry, is behind a fresh attempt to have her arrested.
In a video shared online, Ogala claimed that police officers entered her residence and demanded to take her into custody. She said the officers identified themselves as coming from Lagos and accused Okafor of sending them.
The visibly distressed actress said she felt unsafe and warned that the cleric should be held responsible if anything happened to her.
The dispute between both parties dates back to last year, following the emergence of a video showing Okafor’s engagement to another woman. Ogala had alleged that she was previously in a long-term relationship with the pastor and claimed she ended her marriage at his request.
She also accused him of failing to fulfill promises of marriage and later demanded financial compensation, reportedly seeking damages over the alleged breach.
In earlier developments, Okafor initially dismissed her claims but later issued a public apology acknowledging aspects of their past relationship, before subsequently withdrawing the apology.
There has been no immediate response from the cleric regarding the latest allegations.
