Manchester United defeated rival Manchester City in a derby filled with drama and suspense.

Despite United’s relative dominance in the first half, City started the second half stronger and finally scored on the hour mark through substitute Grealish.

United came alive in the final 12 minutes, with Fernandes curling home an equalizer that stood despite a questionable offside call.

United’s comeback was complete within moments of the restart, with substitute Garnacho laying the ball on a plate for Rashford to score, and Erik Ten Hag’s side did everything possible to secure the 3 points.

United have now closed the gap on their City rivals to just one point, leapfrogging Newcastle into third place.

The Gunners have a chance to close the gap to eight points if they win their match against Tottenham tomorrow.
