Barrister Dan Osa-Ogbegie, a former Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who recently joined the People Democratic Party ( PDP), has rejected claims that he was paid to switch parties.
Rumors have been circulating, suggesting that Osa-Ogbegie received amounts ranging from N50 million to N20 million or $10,000 from the PDP in exchange for leaving the APC.
In response, Osa-Ogbegie stated that he did not receive any money from the PDP to leave the APC and urged the public to ignore such rumors.
In his words, “Please disregard the rumours going round that I was given huge amount of money by PDP to decamp from the APC.
“Some say they gave me 50 million Naira, some say 20 million Naira, others say ten thousand dollars.
“I hereby reiterate that I was not given a dime by PDP to decamp from the APC. Stop spreading rumours to try and smear my credibility.
“There are many more people leaving the APC to the PDP in the coming days and weeks because of the ruderlessness of the APC. Even those who don’t leave will sabotage the party as they always do in every election.
