The FA has charged Arsenal with failing to conduct their players in an orderly manner during their game against Oxford United.

The incident in reference occurred in the 34th minute of Arsenal’s FA Cup third-round match, when the players requested a penalty.

Recall that Arsenal players surrounded David Coote, requesting a penalty, but the referee instead awarded a corner.

Truth Live News gathered that there was no VAR for the match because those facilities were not available at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium.

The charge was confirmed in an FA statement seen by Truth Live News on Thursday, which reads: “Arsenal FC has been charged with breaching FA Rule E20.1 during its tie against Oxford United FC in The FA Cup on Monday 9 January 2023.

“It’s alleged that Arsenal FC failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 34th minute, and the club has until Monday 16 January 2023 to respond.”

This weekend, Arsenal will return to Premier League action when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur for the north London derby on Sunday.
