The Edo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has admitted critical documentary evidence from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), supporting claims that the final results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ward 1, Oredo Local Government Area, were falsified.
Truth Live News confirmed that during the tribunal proceedings, PDP’s collation agent, Mr. Aigbe Ighodaro Lucky, testified that the results announced by INEC did not originate from any polling unit or the INEC Result Viewing (IREV) portal. He alleged that figures were manipulated in favor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholo.
The tribunal accepted several Certified True Copies (CTC) of election documents, including:
Agent duplicate copies of Form EC8A (Polling Unit results)
CTC of the Voters Register
CTC of IREV-uploaded results
BVAS accreditation reports and extracts
These documents reportedly exposed discrepancies between the official results declared by INEC and those recorded at polling units and uploaded on IREV. The PDP witness further revealed that collation for Oredo LGA was not conducted at the designated collation center but was allegedly hijacked to the State Collation Centre, where he was denied access.
The case continues as the tribunal reviews additional witness testimonies and documentary evidence regarding alleged irregularities in 53 polling units across Oredo LGA
