There was a great jubilation at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, as the new Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun resumes office as the 22nd IG after the immediate past IGP, Usman Baba officially turned over his position to him.
Recall, President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, appointed Deputy Inspector-general of Police, DIG Kayode Egbetokun, as the acting Inspector-general of Police to succeed Usman Baba.
On Tuesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima decorated Egbetokun at the Villa.
As he resume office on Wednesday, there was alot of jubilation and excitement at the headquarter, the officials openly celebrate him with music and dancing.
